Rock Wool Pipe

Laurel rock wool pipe is made of rock wool fiber, preformed through some mould and cured by high temperature. For easy installation, the pipe section is split on one side with a joint cutting on the opposite side along with the axis of the pipe.

Product Details

Rock wool pipe, a widely used thermal insulation material, has remarkable features. Firstly, it excels in thermal insulation. Its loose fiber structure with ample air impedes heat penetration due to air's low thermal conductivity, cutting heat loss in pipeline transfer and slashing energy consumption for heating and cooling systems.

Secondly, its fireproofing is top-notch. As a Class A non-combustible material, it won't burn or melt in flames or high heat, stalling fire spread, affording vital escape and rescue time in fires and enhancing building safety.

Moreover, it has sound-absorbing and noise-reducing traits. The intricate fiber layout dampens medium and low-frequency noise effectively, creating quietness in air-conditioning ducts and industrial pipelines.

Also, it's highly corrosion-resistant. In humid or chemically harsh settings like near the sea or in chemical plants, it retains stability, ensuring long-term insulation without damage.

Finally, it has decent mechanical strength to bear installation stress, self-weight, and light impacts, staying intact during use and installation, safeguarding pipeline operation.

Rock wool pipes are applied in diverse fields as follows:

Building construction: In buildings, they're used for HVAC system insulation and fire protection. Installed on ducts and pipes, they cut heat loss and boost energy efficiency. Their fire resistance enhances building safety. Also, they insulate exterior walls and roofs, maintaining indoor comfort and reducing heating/cooling energy use.

Industrial pipelines: Widely used in industries like petroleum, chemical, and power for pipeline insulation. For steam, hot oil, and gas pipelines, they prevent heat loss, ensure normal medium flow, and cut energy consumption. In chemical plants, their corrosion resistance makes them suitable for corrosive media pipelines.

Refrigeration and cold-chain: They're crucial in these systems, insulating cold storage, trucks, and equipment. By blocking external heat, they keep a low temperature, improve refrigeration efficiency, and safeguard cold-chain goods.

Shipbuilding and marine: Used for onboard pipeline and equipment insulation and soundproofing in ships. Applied to air-con, seawater cooling, and fuel pipelines, they stop heat loss, reduce noise/vibration, and improve the onboard environment. Their water and corrosion resistance fit the harsh marine setting.

Automotive: In cars, they're in thermal management systems, like the engine compartment and air-con. They insulate engine components, reducing heat transfer and improving engine and air-con efficiency. Also, they lower noise for a more comfortable ride.
