Ceramic foam filter is a porous ceramic material made from high-purity raw materials such as zirconia, silicon carbide, and alumina. The most common types include zirconia ceramic foam filter for steel casting and sic ceramic foam filter for non-ferrous metals.

The foam ceramic blocks feature high porosity (up to 90%), large surface area, and uniform pore distribution, allowing molten metal to flow smoothly while trapping impurities.
